Optical character recognition
DocSeal uses optical character recognition (OCR) to make any document text machine readable.
Selecting data
Select the important parts of the document. The selection will be cryptographically signed and encoded in a JAB Code.
Printing the final document
After the JAB Code has been placed in a suitable area, the document is signed and ready for printing.
Scanning with DocSeal
A photo can be taken with a smartphone to verify the document. The photo is rectified and the document is extracted. Just like in the first step, OCR is applied to make the text machine readable.
Decoding JAB Code
The JAB code on the document is decoded and the signee certificate is fetched. The signed data is automatically checked for authenticity and integrity.
Validating data
All text blocks signed in the jab code are compared with the printed text on the document. If there are no discrepancies, the document is declared valid.
Forged documents
In case of possible errors, you are asked for input. in case the printed text does not match the signed one, the document is declared as a forgery.
